I don't use myspace much, just for family, but some of my younger relatives seem to get 'hacked' or get some sort of virus that is specific to myspace. It causes them to spam stupid advertisements and sometimes when you click on anything on their page like to add a comment or something, it brings you to some other site.
I like to post funny pics or cool icons on my messages, like Happy Halloween pics or something, but I don't want to get or give some sort of weird virus or something.
Does anyone know what actually causes this? What sites are definately bad for getting pics off of and which ones are safe?

it's not a virus it's a sort of hacking called phishing it sends you out of myspace to a login page that looks like a myspace page and when you input your name and password they steal your myspace and screwn around with it making it a big ad for them to send crap to everyone so yeah it really has nothing to do with your pictures
well in that case you should host your pics save them to your comp and put it up on photobucket or something so that you know the pics are safe...another place to make a layout that is safe is calle www.pimp-my-profile.com you can make a layout there with pics out of your photobucket and it's totally safe it's what i use it will have a little button on the top left that links to there site but thats about it

the above person is right. It happens all the time. Be sure to check the address bar if you are ever asked for your login info again. If you are unsure, close your browser and reopen it and type in myspace.com

its somthing they clicked on and it says you must be logged in to do that and your logged it DONT type in your password because thats how websites get ur myspace pw vvvvvvvvvvvv click the link tom tells you all about it
