Myspace Online Icon trouble?

I have my Myspace profile at http://www.myspace.com/acousticjtq

I've got a custom Online Now icon bunch of code that I've placed in my About Me box, and selected the "Hide Online Now" option in Account Settings (as the icon supplying site suggested), but the original Online Now still shows up, and I can't get the new one working.

How can I fix this? So frustrating...

Myspace Online Now Icons used to work fine. But about a month ago now, myspace disabled the feature and changed the way online now icons work. So all those myspace sites that offer custom online now icons for your layout. The codes will simply no longer work unfortunately.

I don't know of any site offering an updated code either as people are still searching for a fix to get it working again.

So.. bad news unfortunately :(

I don't use myspace much, just for family, but some of my younger relatives seem to get 'hacked' or get some sort of virus that is specific to myspace. It causes them to spam stupid advertisements and sometimes when you click on anything on their page like to add a comment or something, it brings you to some other site.

I like to post funny pics or cool icons on my messages, like Happy Halloween pics or something, but I don't want to get or give some sort of weird virus or something.

it's not a virus it's a sort of hacking called phishing it sends you out of myspace to a login page that looks like a myspace page and when you input your name and password they steal your myspace and screwn around with it making it a big ad for them to send crap to everyone so yeah it really has nothing to do with your pictures

the above person is right. It happens all the time. Be sure to check the address bar if you are ever asked for your login info again. If you are unsure, close your browser and reopen it and type in myspace.com

Have you clicked on the view all friends at the bottom right hand of the "friends" screen, the print isn't very big, I've missed it before. Other then that I'd find the frequently asked questions and see if this problem is there.

you have to go to "edit my top friends"

only ur top friends are shown in ur profile... increase from 11 icons to 24... and job done!

Just go to Yahoo.com (main page) and put in what you want to look for (hearts, valenines, etc) in the search part and make sure you click (Images) so your search looks for pictures.

When you find one you like, right click your mouse and then click on "save picture". Then you will get to be able to decide where on your computer you want to save your picture.

Yup. Look for the %26lt;div%26gt; or %26lt;a href="http://www.myspace-codes.com.cn/"blahblah"%26gt;" in the code, and delete it. That part makes up all the links and images and stuff. Those bastards always load the codes with that stuff.

You only need to keep what's inside the %26lt;style%26gt;BLIBBITY BLAB%26lt;/style%26gt; brackets.

They are likely using an animated gif of many .gif files.

Try some program to take your pictures and make an animated gif out of them. You will end up with one file that will end in gif that will change to the other images

Go to your edit profile section, and wherever the code is that you pasted that caused the icon to appear, you have to delete a portion. It will look something like %26lt;a href=url of the site you got the code%26gt;%26lt;img src=some url%26gt; and something about position, etc. Just delete all that. Sorry, it's hard to explain without showing.

all you need to know is little knowledge about css (cascaded style sheet). if you wanna learn css, you have to be familiar with html (scripting for website).

usually if getting them off a site that provides a code for them, they are set so they line up vertically. Try saving those icons to your computer and uploading them to photobucket or tinypic and using the code provided by them. Hope it helps

When you find the icon you like, left click it, save it as "myspace pic" go to you homepage, then under your headline find the upload picture. It should say "browse" browse your photos, and find the pic that you saved as myspace pic, click upload.

You will have no trouble finding icons in any one of those websites, promise! and no viruses either I use em on my myspace page too.

I found an icon on photobucket that I want to put as my headline, but I don't know what characters to put before and after the URL. I know some of the letters and stuff thats supposed go but I don't know what order they are in. If you don't know what I'm talking about, here is an example.

If that doesnt work, copy and paste the "Direct Link" and try this:

How big are they? If they are too big for the space then they will end up vertical. If they are small use a table:

Repeat td's until your done

usually if getting them off a site that provides a code for them, they are set so they line up vertically. Try saving those icons to your computer and uploading them to photobucket or tinypic and using the code provided by them. Hope it helps

put them on after each other, when you input one code, wherever the code ends, put the next code directly behind it, dont put it on the next line, this will make it vertical.

I know you don't understand but go to tinypic %26amp; find the icon...or any where else...

find the url and put it into this code:

%26lt;IMG src="url here" border="0"%26gt;%26lt;/a%26gt;

%26amp; put it altogether in a picture caption.

NOTE: if you use tinypic,you get a smaller url,which will make it easier to fit the entire code into the caption!

Click the Y! toolbar settings button (avatar), click add/edit buttons, click Button Gallery, under select a category click the arrow and choose Show All Buttons. Look for my space button, add it and save changes.
